  • New account approval guidelines
In order to curb the amount of non-truck related posting we will require that all new accounts have their first post approved. After their first post is approved they will be able to post and interact as normal. Thank you and we appreciate your patience while we clean up the new and improved "Vintage Truck Message Board."

  • HEY! We have new Moderators!!
In November I put out a call for a moderator for our board. I wanted someone who could be here every day, respond to posts, and keep things lively. I would like to announce that of the several Vintage Truck readers who stepped forward (thank you ALL for your enthusiasm!) we chose the team of Annie and Rusty Barr to moderate our board. Please read their bios and give them a big welcome!!

  • Our Moderators - Biographies
    Rusty Barr
Rusty has been interested in vintage trucks ever since he was twelve years old, when his grandfather introduced him to his Advanced Design 1949 Chevy Pickup. He has owned several trucks over the years, including a 1972 3/4 ton light blue Suburban with a 350 and four on the floor, a 1974 3/4 ton Rosedale red camper special with a 454, a 1982 black 1/2 ton Chevy C-10 Stepside with a 4 speed overdrive, and a cranky 1981 dark blue Chevy S-10 beater to get around town. Currently Rusty drives a 2002 black Chevy S-10 extended cab with a 4.3 V-6 and a 5-speed overdrive. But his baby is his 1986 metallic gray Chevy C-10 Stepside, which his granddaughter says is like another grandchild. He's looking forward to getting to know other vintage truck enthusiasts, sharing his extensive knowledge about old trucks in general, and maybe learning a thing or two.

    Annie Barr
Annie began her moderator/community host career as a volunteer at AOL and has been moderating message boards and hosting communities ever since. Although she admits to knowing very little about trucks beyond where to put the ignition key, she is willing to learn. One of the obvious benefits will be that she will finally understand what her husband, Rusty, is talking about.
