2019 Vintage Truck Magazine Show Wrapup

The 18th Annual Vintage Truck Magazine Vintage Truck Show took place on Aug. 3, 2019, and saw a display field with 300 classic trucks on the grounds of Young’s Jersey Dairy in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Word has certainly gotten around in the hobby about our “little” event. We thought last year’s record of 220 entries was the most we would ever see. In fact, we ran out of registration cards around the 250 mark and barely had room for all of the trucks!

Owners came from 15 states, including Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Canada was represented by the provinces of Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan! Chase, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, International, Jeep, Studebaker, and Willys were scattered throughout the field, as well as vehicles that once served in the United States military and several fire trucks. Vintage Truck reader Leaford Burnett trailered his 1947 Ford 1-ton 820 miles from Ceresco, Nebraska, to attend, and Brian Murray drove his 1966 GMC 920 from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, 1,920 miles to be at the show. Even the People’s Choice winner, Mike Janey, was a long-distance attendee—he drove his 1986 Dodge Ram D-150 375 miles from St. Louis, Missouri.

Thank you to everyone who came out to see us. The purpose of the show has always been to thank loyal readers, contributors, advertisers, and everyone who makes Vintage Truck magazine the best in its class. We appreciate your love of vintage trucks and your enthusiasm for the magazine.

We hope to see you again next year for the 19th Annual Vintage Truck Magazine Vintage Truck Show on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2020. For information and to pre-register, visit our website at VintageTruckMagazine.com beginning in May 2020.
